Using a razor blade or scissors, carefully cut the top off of an empty milk carton, leaving a one inch high rim around the bottom. Place dry catfood in this "box" and set it outside near the step for stray neighborhood cats to eat.

Do not sit on the steps and wait for the cats so that you can watch them eat. The cats will not seem thankful. Do not try to pet the stray cats because they are afraid of you and when startled will likely attack. If it is raining do not leave the dried catfood outside or it will get wet. If a stray cat bites or scratches you, wash the area immediately with hot soapy water and apply antibacterial first aid cream. If the area becomes red or inflamed seek professional medical help
.
